Meredith Oral History Project Kickoff Event
The Meredith Public Library will be kicking off our community-wide oral history project on Friday, June 1st at 5:30 PM at the Meredith Historical Society. The opening day will be a story circle of community members who were at the two-hundred year anniversary celebration in 1968. We are looking for people who attended the 1968 festivities and would like their memories recorded for posterity.
The Oral History Project is part of Meredith’s 250th Anniversary Celebration and one of the outcomes will be to have an audio collection that can be included in the time capsule that will be resealed next July for the three hundredth anniversary in 2068.
